Hina Rabbani Khar, the current Foreign Minister of Pakistan graduated with a BSc in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences in 1999 and received her MSc in Hospitality Management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2001. Given her expertise in hospitality she opened the Polo Lounge restaurant on the Lahore Polo Grounds. She is also fond of healthy diet and yoga. She loves fashion, for example, the Birkin bag, the sunglasses, the Jimmy Choo stilettos and the pearl necklaces.
She is a strong supporter of alliance with the United States and relations with Britain. It is for this reason that Ms Khar has decided to open a restaurant in Washington and another in London. Each of the restaurants will be called The Polo Lounge.
She is a strong believer that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. She believes that many women have won a man’s love by cooking delicious meals for him. Ms Khar believes that the same applies to a nation. She plans to win the hearts of President Barack Obama and Prime Minister David Cameron by inviting them regularly to her top class restaurants and cooking delicious meals for them herself. Ms Khar noted that she is currently focussing on USA and UK and may later also open a restaurant in New Delhi to improve diplomacy with India.
It has been rumoured that the extensive menu of the restaurants in Washington and London will include delicacies like the saddle prawn (Gambas stuffed with cheese, onions and mushrooms imported from southern France served with sautéed vegetables), stuffed chicken (chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella and mushrooms, served with a creamy jalapeno pepper and mushroom sauce), and avocado and jocca cottage cheese salad (avocadoes, fresh button mushrooms, tomatoes, cucumber, cottage cheese in Italian vinaigrette on a bed of Iceberg lettuce topped with jocca cottage and parmesan).
