Following on from her successful 60 year rein as Queen of England and the Commonwealth, Buckingham Palace have announced that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is looking for a new challenge. Disgusted with what she has seen of the toxic political climate in Australia over the last few years, Her Majesty will shortly declare herself absolute monarch of Australia. The current parliament will be dissolved. Sources close to the Queen reveal that she believes she can run the country better than the current leadership, even if it will be long distance via a sophisticated Skype link. The Queen’s affection for Australia is well known and she believes this will be her lasting contribution to this nation.
Prince Charles will be sent to Australia to become the Governor General. This will get him out of her hair. Commentators believe that this will be the closest Prince Charles ever comes to being King.
Ministerial jobs in the new government will be given to minor royals in order for them to supplement their royal allowances. Political commentators believe that the royals lack of knowledge and experience in their appointed portfolios will not affect the process of government as it is a known fact that it is the public servants who really run the country.
