Mitt Romney is determined to pick a better VP candidate than Spiro Agnew, Dan Quayle and Sarah Palin. He has therefore gone for an experienced person whom the Republicans love. Romney has decided to chose Dick Cheney.
Romney has gone through a very thorough selection process. Chris Christie was out because he has a personality and has a bad temper that he cannot control. Paul Ryan was out because he loves French wines too much. Santorum was probably out because of all the criticisms he leveled at Romney during the debates and he throws up whenever someone says something anti-religion. Newt Gingrich was not possible because he has too many wives. Rick Perry could not help the ticket since he was too soft on immigration. Lastly, Huntsman was out because he is too principled.
Romney likes Cheney because Cheney had the guts to criticize President Obama and his policies as soon as Obama became President. Mitt Romney appreciates the kind of person who can really get stuck into Obama.
Some Republicans believe Sarah Palin should have been given another chance since she needs a job. The Republican party was supposed to help her with her attorney fees for all the law suits she incurred as Governor but the Party back peddled and left her out in the cold. Unfortunately Romney could not be persuaded to select her.
So the Republican ticket is Mitt Romney-Dick Cheney. It should be interesting.
