Hollywood has amazingly discovered that there are hundreds of millions of old people all over the world which they never knew existed which could open up the potential of new audiences. Displaying their characteristic perceptive nature, Hollywood also found that a bunch of old actors and actresses are still alive and can still act. This discovery was made partly as a result of a movie The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel which has grossed more than $100 million with two 77-year old British actresses Judy Dench and Maggie Smith playing the leading roles.
The major discussion point in Hollywood at the current time is “where were these old people hiding, how come we didn’t know about them?”. No one appears to have a quick answer to this deeply interesting question. Some people thought may be these people have been living in caves or remote villages. Since they are very old, they perhaps cannot drive or they are so poor that they have dropped out of the economy. Many of them perhaps live in old people’s homes and survive on Medicaid or charitable organizations.
When contacted by thegarlic reporter, a number of old people claimed that the young, influential and important people seem to have problems with their eye site as they look through the old people as though they are not there. They claim that their opinion is never solicited, programs on TV and radio are made for the young and that they are written off and ridiculed by society. They are hoping that this recent discovery of old people by Hollywood will be a major step forward and they will not be forgotten in the future.
